Morley programme confirmed for EverReady

The second band of the Leeds Best of Brass series has announced the full details of its programme.

  The band has confirmed its programme for the concert

The EverReady Band has announced the full programme of music it will showcase at its forthcoming Leeds 'Best of Brass' concert at Morley Town Hall on Saturday 2nd November.

Under conductor Chris Shanks they will perform works from rising compositional stars such as Christopher Bond to classics from the likes of John Williams and Jimmy Webb. There are also links to James Bond and Kurt Weill, the Salvation Army and the American pop group 'The Bangles'.

The band's soloists will also be featured with the spotlight falling on Tina Mortimer, Daniel Marsh and Andrew Hedley.

Interview

There is a short interview with the band's solo trombone player James Howard to find out a little more ahead of their trip.

Enderby Band

December 4 • We are looking for a Bb Bass and Tuned Percussionist to join us to complete our player line up. We are a friendly and social band and have a schedule of concerts/contests planed for 2025, with the aim of progressing further into the Championship Section.


Epping Forest Band

December 4 • We are a friendly 3rd section band that have a vacancy for a solo horn to complete our line up.. We perform in a variety of gigs and contests throughout the year.. Our band hut is located close to Epping tube station and easy access for the M11.


Boarshurst Silver Band

December 3 • Boarshurst Silver Band, NW Championship Section, requires a talented SOPRANO CORNET. Under MD Jamie Prophet, the band have an ambitious and varied calendar for 2025, including NW Area, Spring Festival and Whit Friday.
