Celebratory ale brewed to mark Tewkesbury 50th anniversary

A special 'Fifty' Golden Ale has been brewed to help locals celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tewkesbury Band.

Fifty
The special Golden Ale has already been enjoyed by the cask and bottle by local drinkers

Tewkesbury Town Band will be lifting a very special glass of something tasty in celebration of their 50th anniversary with the first draft of a special ale from The Tewkesbury Brewing Company.

It comes a decade after the last celebratory ale with the expert master brewer at the company coming up with a fantastic 5% Golden Ale — appropriately name 'Fifty'.

Best idea

Martin Culwick of the band told 4BR: "We had plenty of great anniversary ideas, but the best by far was to have another beer to honour the occasion. We contacted Daryl at Tewkesbury Brewing Company, and he produced something fantastic along with three lucky members of the band.

The pump clip was designed by George Cullwick, and an order placed to get them produced and since late October fie local pubs have been serving it to very satisfied customers."

Extra order

Such has been the success that in addition to the first batch of 15 casks, another 21 have been brewed to meet festive demand, with an amount also specially bottled.

The 'Fifty' Golden Ale will also be featured at the Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival in February, one of the bands regular bookings.
