Brassing Around Concert now on Wobplay

The recent Brassing Around Gala Concert is the latest addition to the Wobplay multi-media platform.

Subscribers to the Wobplay.com multi-media platform can now enjoy the audio recording of the Brassing Around Gala Concert that took place at Sheffield Citadel Salvation Army on Saturday 4th January.

This concert featured players from Black Dyke, Carlton Main Frickley, Cory, Foden's, Grimethorpe Colliery, GUS, Tredegar who came along to support the work undertaken by student Elise Hale and friends with their 'Brassing Around' coverage of banding events.

Music

The music performed came from the pens of composers Damien Lagger, Simon Dobson, Paul Lovatt-Cooper, and world premieres from Malcolm Hannaford-Waddington with 'My Child's Hand' and Hayden Barber with 'Activo'.

There were also standout solos from Jonathan Bates (Foden's) and Jamie Smith (Grimethorpe) and a very special encore of 'Sing, Sing, Sing!'
