Pleasing entry for ODDA own choice contest

There will be 36 bands showcasing their regional championship preparations at the ODBBA Contest later this month.

  The event takes place on the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd February

The Oxford and District Brass Band Association (ODBBA) has told 4BR that they are "really pleased"at the response from bands in entering their own-choice contest at Cokethorpe school, Witney, Oxfordshire on the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd February.

Selections

36 bands will perform their selections with an eye also on their appearances at the Regional Championships in March. The adjudicator is Steven Mead.

Spectators are very welcome. Entry per day — Adults £7, Concessions £6. Weekend tickets — Adults £10, Concessions £8.

Refreshments (rolls, cakes, hot and cold drinks etc) will be available both days.

Schedule:

Saturday 22nd February:
9.30am: Fourth Section (5 bands)
11.30am: Championship Section (5 bands)
2.30pm: Second Section (10 bands)

Sunday 23rd February:
10.00am: Third Section (2 bands)
11.00am: First Section (first half of 5 bands)
12.45pm: Lunch Break
1.30pm: First Section (second half of 5 bands)
3.30pm: Unregistered Section begins (4 bands)
