Ongoing relationship

Speaking about the support offered by BBE, Louisa Armitage, Vice-Chair of the UniBrass Foundation, commented: "The UniBrass Foundation really value our ongoing relationship with BBE, and their support of our annual contest is vital for helping to inspire the next generation.

The exciting opportunities BBE are making available to our participants will undoubtedly help our collective work to improve access to brass bands for young people, keeping them playing into the future.

Anyone who wants to see just how promising the future of brass banding is should come along to Cardiff next week and experience it for themselves, or watch our livestream!"

Survey

Student performers will also have the opportunity to complete a short questionnaire about their current banding participation and future plans.

The survey is designed to help gather data on the transition from student to adult banding and help to inform BBE's future support in this area.

Shape the future

Sarah Baumann, BBE's COO, commented: "The survey has been informed by the BBE's Members Working Group to collect information on graduate intentions and barriers to joining senior bands.

Please come along to the BBE stand to help us shape the future in this area, and while you're there, find out about the many benefits of your free BBE student membership!"
