The Area Preview features Flowers Band and friends

Flowers Band, the reigning National Champion, will host a special 'Area Contest Preview' ahead of the West of England Regional Championships in Torquay on the 15th & 16th March.

It will be held at the Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham (GL51 6EP) on Sunday 2nd March at 3.00pm and will feature the defending Area and National champions themselves, alongside Lydbrook Band (First Section); Nailsworth Silver Band (Second Section); Cheltenham Silver Band (Third Section) and Cheltenham Silver Academy Band (Fourth Section).

Each will showcase their preparations on their set-works for the event plus some concert items.

Come along and enjoy

Flowers Band Chairperson Gregor Spence told 4BR: "We are delighted to be able to be joined by our friends at Lydbrook, Nailsworth, and Cheltenham for this event which we hope people will come along to and enjoy.

The pieces are very different, and the bands will also play some concert works too to add to the friendly atmosphere — and the bar will be open too!"
