A spokesperson for the British Open told 4BR: "There has been an excellent take up of tickets and we are delighted by the initial response.

The announcement of the set-work 'Star Crossed Lovers' has created a great deal of interest and with our fantastic line-up of bands now competed following the Spring Festival, there is a real focus of attention on the weekend."
