The newly crowned European Champions, Brass Band Willebroek will cross the border into The Netherlands later this year to perform at the Dutch National Championships in Utrecht.
Under MD, Frans Violet they have been invited to give a concert on the opening day of the Championship event on Friday 31st October to honour composer Edward Gregson. Five of his works are being used over the weekend as the set-tests for the 44th Championships at Utrecht's TivoliVredenburg.
Excited
The Belgian's, who will also be looking to claim a hat-trick of World Championship titles in Kerkrade in July recently claimed the European title in memorable fashion Stavanger, with NBK chairman, Ale Nicolai telling 4BR: "We're genuinely excited to offer a concert like this during the NBK weekend.
For many brass enthusiasts being able to welcome the current European Champion is perfect timing.
The concert will of course feature a number of works by Edward Gregson in what I'm sure will be an absolute treat for everyone."
Championships
The 2025 Championships (Friday 31st — Saturday 1st November) will feature 'Rococo Variations' (Championship Division); 'Connotations' (First Division); 'The Plantagenets' (Second Division); 'Occasion' (Third Division) and 'Partita' (Fourth Division).
