Scottish Borders based St. Ronan's Silver Band will hold its fourth annual 'Band Camp' from 5th — 7th August.
Open to all young brass and percussion players, it will be held in Innerleithen Church of Scotland. The event is supported by the Scottish Borders Brass Band Association, St Ronan's Hotel, Innerleithen, Walkerburn & Traquair Rotary Club and the Peeblesshire Abbeyfield Trust.
Young musicians
Speaking about the course, St Ronan's Band Chairperson Jane Hogarth said: "We're delighted to be able to run the event once again.
We have a very long tradition of nurturing young musicians, and our Band Camp has become a major vehicle to give fledgling players the opportunity to come together and have fun playing music!"
The Band Camp is an inclusive event with classes for beginner and more advanced brass as well as percussionists of all levels. There is also a pBuzz Class.
Free and open
The event is free and open to all.
Jane added: "The experienced duo of Stuart Black and Keith Belleville will lead the groups and we are looking forward to three great days of fun and music!"
