New stage honours stalwart at Pershore

Bands will perform on the Gordon Hartley-Bennett Stage at the popular Pershore Midsummer Brass.

Pershore Midsummer Brass
Pershore honours the stalwart by naming of the stage

Pershore Midsummer Brass has announced the launch of the Gordon Hartley-Bennett Stage, a brand-new community venue that will debut at this year's festival on Saturday, 5th July.

It honours Gordon Hartley-Bennett, the founder of Pershore Midsummer Brass, who established the event 35 years ago. A passionate advocate for brass music and community arts, his vision has helped transform Pershore into a popular musical venue.

Tribute

Chris License, Chair of Pershore Midsummer Brass told 4BR: "Gordon's laid the foundation for what has become one of the UK's most cherished brass festivals.

The stage in his name is a tribute to his legacy and a platform for the next generation of musicians."

2025 festival

The 2025 festival will feature over 30 brass bands performing across four venues in the heart of Pershore (starting at 10.00am).

The Gordon Hartley-Bennett Community Stage will spotlight youth bands, community ensembles and emerging talent, offering a welcoming space for new voices in brass music.

Ticket Information:
