Northop Silver Band has confirmed the appointment of Ryan Richards as their new Musical Director.
The Rath trombone artist returns to the North Wales ensemble on a permanent basis after enjoying a successful appearance with them at the Grand Shield earlier this year.
New chapter
It also marks the start of a new musical chapter with the baton for the solo trombone of Welsh Champion Tredegar, after enjoying a three year tenure at Jackfield. During that time he led the Midland Area contender to third place at the 2024 First Section National Final.
Connection
A Northop Band band spokesperson told 4BR: "We're delighted to welcome Ryan to the role, and look forward to building on the great work he did with us on our Spring Festival appearance.
