The British Trombone Society has announced its list of 2025 BTS Award winners.

Over the past decade or more many of the finest performers, teachers and advocates of the instrument have been honoured, from Denis Wick and Bill Geldard to Jiggs Wigham and Peter Gane.

Moore and Vollam

The Player of the Year accolade was won for a second time by Peter Moore, whilst the Sheila Tracy Award went to Hellen Vollam.

The Peter Gane Teacher of the Year was won by Bob Hughes, whilst the Student of the Year went to Robyn Anderson. The Outstanding Contribution award went to Richard Edwards.

Presentations

The presentations will be made at a special 40th anniversary BTS event at Guildhall School of Music and Drama on Sunday 16th November.
