A proud Bodmin Town Band has celebrated the success of a trio of its young players — Neythen, Thomas and Elsie, who have all gained places with the National Children's Band of Great Britain.
Baritone player Neythen Powell-Jones has been a member for several years, but will now be joined by Thomas Arnold on percussion and Elsie Crane on cornet. Thomas and Elsie both undertook successful auditions earlier in the year and are looking forward to the 2026 course in Taunton.
Neythen has also secured a place with the National Youth Band and will start his journey with them in January.
Thrilled
A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We are all understandable thrilled that our trio of young players will be representing Bodmin and Cornwall in the National Children's band next year.
They have all worked so hard over the last few years and deserve all the success that comes their way."
