Fairlop Brass recently made its second appearance as part of the annual Summer Concert series held in the College Gardens of Westminster Abbey.

Varied programme

In glorious weather they attracted a large and supportive audience in the heart of London with a varied programme which included original music from Eric Ball, Graham Cole and J P Sousa, as well as arrangements from Peter Graham, Gordon Langford, Alan Fernie and Goff Richards, before ending with the playing of the National Anthem.

Exceptional

MD, Kevin Jordan told 4BR: "This really was an exceptional concert — not just the venue but the response from the audience. We also made new contacts and spoke to many people keen to learn more about brass bands in general, including a composer who is keen to perform a new Christmas piece."
