The European Brass Band Association (EBBA) has opened its entry process for the 10th European Composers Competition.

The event will form part of the competitive attractions at the 48th European Championships to be held in Montreux, Switzerland next year.

Original compositions

Composers are invited to submit an original composition for brass band of a maximum 12-minutes duration. Applicants must have been born on or after 1st January 1992. The closing date for entries is 15th January 2027.

The competition will consist of one preliminary round and a final, which will take place on 29th April where the new compositions will be performed by a Championship level band.

AWARDS

The winner will secure an award of EURO 2500, with podium prizes of EURO 2000 and EURO 1500. There is also a 'Band Prize' of EURO 500 and an 'Audience Prize' of EURO 500. All finalists will also receive a diploma.
