Charlie Boax will take on the role of Office Administrator at the Brass Band Players Registry.
The Cory baritone player will be based at the Kapitol Promotions office in Penarth, supporting the day-to-day administration of the Registry as well as across the wider Kapitol operation, including the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and Brass Band World magazine. The role was previously held by Helen Williams.
Real asset
Tim Jones, BBP Registrar and Director of Kapitol Promotions said: "Her enthusiasm, professionalism and genuine passion for the brass band movement and her understanding of how banding works will be a real asset to us.
We're delighted to have Charlie on board and she will make her a great addition to the team as she combines her new professional role with her continuing musical career."
Busy preparations
Away from the Cory bandroom, Charlie comes at a busy time as preparations intensify for the forthcoming National Finals at York Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall.
Charlie Boax said: "Following my recent relocation to Wales, I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to work within Kapitol. I'm so pleased to be joining the team."
