Mead and Neish set for Holland

The two virtuosi lower brass players are set to strut their stuff in Holland.

Euphonium virtuoso Steven Mead and tuba star Les Neish are set for a trip to Holland this weekend performing at the Dutch Tuba Euphonium Festival.

On 19th January they will put around 150 delegates through their paces at a day of masterclasses in Castricum, near Amsterdam.

Perform pieces

They will all get together to go through warm ups, perform in massed ensemble pieces and some players will also perform pieces for Steven and Les to work on. This will culminate in an evening concert featuring Steven and Les performing solos with Backum Brass.

It's great to be invited to such a big event and I'm very much looking forward to working with Steven and all the great tuba and Euphonium players attending in what will be my first solo concert performance in HollandLes Neish

Looking forward

Les commented to 4BR: "It's great to be invited to such a big event and I'm very much looking forward to working with Steven and all the great tuba and Euphonium players attending in what will be my first solo concert performance in Holland."
