Blackpool Brass has announced that due to educational commitments, conductor Andrew Warriner is unable to to conduct the band for the coming 6 months.

Qualifications

In his time with the band Andy led Blackpool to a win and a second place at the North West Second Section, with subsequent qualifications to the Second Section Finals at Harrogate in 2006 and 2007, promotion to the Championship/First Section locally and First Section nationally.

The band state that they hope his extensive experience of taking 7 bands through the lower sections to Championship level in the last 20 years will pay off at the Winter Gardens4br

Quick appointment

The band has been quick to appoint, Andrew White. Andrew’s debut will be at the North West Area contest in the First Section.

The band has also thanked Gary Clegg, the MD of Poulton-le-Fylde Band, who agreed to fly out to Spain for a week in April to conduct the band during their trip to Lloret de Mar.
