The Marsden Ossett Brewery Band is now accepting entries for their annual March contest, which this year will be held on the 14th June.

The contest is a double venue event with one contest at the Riverhead Brewery Tap in the village centre and one at Marsden Bandroom.

Prize money

Prize money this year is in excess of £1500, and there is also a fantastic prize of a new cornet for the best principal cornet at the bandroom element of the contest.

Bands will have to perform a contest march and hymn tune at each contest and there is a street march at the bandroom which will be judged for best deportment.
