New boots filled at Wellington

New players come in to fill empty boots at Wellington.

The Wellington (Telford) Band from Shropshire has announced two new signings to strengthen the band for the forthcoming area contest.

Pete Fletcher joins the band on trombone and brings with him years of experience playing with military bands. Meanwhile, Farooq Robinson a very talented rock and jazz drummer has joined the percussion section.

We are looking forward to playing Dark Side of the Moon at the area and hope we can improve on our commendable 3rd placing at last years areaSecretary Mark Phillips

Falklands return

The band are also delighted to welcome back Jaquie Evans on Bb Bass after a short break, and are looking forward to the return of Jonathon Elliott on Bb Bass who has just completed a six month tour of duty in the Falkland Islands.

Contest Secretary Mark Phillips told 4BR: "This is a very exciting time for the Band. We are looking forward to playing Dark Side of the Moon at the area and hope we can improve on our commendable 3rd placing at last years area."
