Stockport Brass (formerly the BT Band) have once again been gracing the airwaves, this time with an appearance on Manchester television station Channel M.

Increasing profile

There has been a lot of work recently on increasing the profile of the band in the local community, and following on from appearances in local concerts and press, Channel M invited Stockport Brass to take part in their programme ‘City Life’ as part of a series of features on local community groups.

Interviews

During a rehearsal preparing for the North West Areas, the band took time out to perform 'Valero' for the television cameras, and conductor Michael Fowles and cornet player Holly Dolman were interviewed.

The programme was broadcast the following day on Friday 29th February, and is now on the Channel M website www.channelm.co.uk (select City Life under the Watch Again menu).
