Double honours for Princeton

The Princeton Brass Band picks up double honours in US.

The Princeton Brass Band of New Jersey recently received a double-honour when they claimed third place in the Honors Section of the North American Brass Band Championships, and an invitation to be the first 'British Style' brass band to appear at the annual New Jersey Band Conference.

Varied programme

The band has the honour of opening the Conference at 9.00am at the Kendall Hall of The College of New Jersey on Friday May 2nd, where they will play a varied programme that will include Edward Gregson's 'Connotations' and Philip Sparke's 'Pantomime' played by Matthew Maslanka, the son of legendary US concert band composer David Maslanka, as well as Eric Ball's 'Journey into Freedom' and finishing with followed by John Williams 'Epic Themes' and the encore 'McArthur Park'.
