Stars from the Black Dyke band will be leading free workshops for young people on Saturday 10th May in Bacup Lancashire.

Principal cornet Richard Marshall and Principal euphonium David Thornton will conduct massed band rehearsals followed by sectional tuition, Q&A sessions and a final afternoon concert for parents and friends during which the young massed band will accompany both soloists.

The event entitled YouthBrass ’08 is being organised by the 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band who will be performing with Black Dyke in the evening of the 10th at a sell-out concert at the Royal Court Theatre Bacup.

The workshops are open to all young brass players from the area and are free of chargeorganisers
