Just seven months after it's formation the Telford Youth Brass Band has been invited to perform at the National Festival of Music For Youth at the Symphony Hall Birmingham on the 10th July.

Under the joint direction of Wayne Ruston and David Maplestone the band has grown in strength and now has over 30 regular players attending4BR

The invitation comes after the band performed at the regional festival in march, where they impressed the adjudicators with their high standard of playing.

Welcome

Under the joint direction of Wayne Ruston and David Maplestone the band has grown in strength and now has over 30 regular players attending it’s Friday evening rehearsals at Burton Borough School in Telford, although new faces are always welcome.

The band told 4BR that they would like to thank County Music Supplies Ltd in Shrewsbury and Telford and Wrekin Music who have provided valuable financial support, transport and equipment.
