It's going to be a busy summer for Dobcross Youth Bad.

The summer always sees the Dobcross Youth Band band with a full calendar.

New CD

A week ago saw the band playing through the streets of Oldham accompanying the new Mayor on his procession through the town, whilst last weekend the band took part in the Marsden March and Hymn Contest winning both Youth prizes. Next weekend they are recording their new CD at Heights Church above Delph.

The CD is the brainchild of the new MD, Brian Lamb, who believes it is time to pay tribute to some of the band’s outstanding soloists on a new recording4BR

The CD is the brainchild of the new MD, Brian Lamb, who believes it is time to pay tribute to some of the band’s outstanding soloists on a new recording — hence the name of the CD – ‘Salute’!

In the following weeks will be playing a concert at Delph Club, taking part in the Brighouse March and Hymn Contest, playing in Dobcross and then to Spain for a week to finish off another fantastic summer.
