Canadian Brass excel in Durham

Canadian Brass caught for local radio.

 

Canadian Brass, the superb five-piece brass ensemble will be featured on 'Bandstand', the brass and military band music radio show on Radio Teesdale on Sunday at 8pm.

The radio show is repeated on Tuesday at 10pm.

Michael Fryer, presenter, interviews Chuck Daellenbach, the leader of the group at Durham’s Gala Theatre. This exclusive radio interview will be broadcast on Sunday along with music by the group, with Val Fryer reviewing the concert.

Interviews

Bandstand will also have interviews with Briony Thompson, Annette Hughes (World Vision) and Steve Robson recorded at the Northern Youth Brass Band’s concert at the Sage, Gateshead in aid of BRASS BAND AID.

Meanwhile, the Leyburn Band who are taking part in 'Brassed Off' at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, Yorkshire are also featured.

There’s also news of the new Durham Miners’ Heritage Centre, just opened at Neville’s Cross Club, Durham.
