Stocksbridge dates now available

Bands wishing to book themselves a place at Stocksbridge Band Club had better get in touch.

Stocksbridge

4BR has been informed that dates are now available for the 2009 season of the Stocksbridge Band Club.

First come first served

Edward Knowles from the band told 4BR: "We try to ensure that the club regulars get their spot, but we also want to give newcomers a chance too, so it's first come first served. The season is massively popular and we really encourage any bands who haven't experienced it yet to get in touch, whatever standard."

Promote brass bands

The concerts are run by the band club for the local community, with free audience entry, and the main aim has been to promote brass band music within the community and also to encourage players and bands of all standards.

Edward added: "There were several bands last year who unfortunately missed out on a spot due to the high demand, so please book your place as soon as possible."
