Bridgewater delight

Philip Biggs delighted at Bridgewater Festival response.

Bridgewater

Philip Biggs has spoken to 4BR about his delight at the success of the 2008 Great Northern Brass Arts Festival in Manchester on the weekend.

Turn out

Despite the poor weather over 4,000 people made the trip to Bridgewater Hall to listen and participate in the day long event, which culminated with over 2,000 people taking their seats for the Gala Concert on Saturday night which featured Black Dyke, Fodens and Brighouse & Rastrick Bands.

It shows that there is a great appetite for high class brass eventsPhilip Biggs

Best yet

"It has been the best yet," Philip told 4BR. "The response and support from sponsors, the audiences and the bands has been terrific and this year’s event has been the most successful to date. It shows that there is a great appetite for high class brass events."
