Trio of joiners for Woodfalls

South West challengers announce a trio of new signings ahead of their National assault next month.

Woodfalls

South West Trains Woodfalls Band has announced three new joiners ahead of the upcoming National Championships of Brass Bands in October.

Dave Gotts joins the cornet section from Woodfalls Concert Brass and takes over from Sam Atherton who left the band in order to accept a position to study medicine at the University of Nottingham.

Return

Meanwhile, Martin Dean joins the trombone section also from Woodfalls Concert Brass. Martin takes over from Lloyd Bartlett who has had to step back from the band due to external commitments. Martin renews a trombone partnership with long time friend, Scott Stewart from their time as members of Test Valley Brass.

With the introduction of these players into the band, SWT Woodfalls are now looking forward to competing at the National Championships with a renewed enthusiasm under the direction of Melvin WhiteSWT Woodfalls Band
