Cheers for Tennant's extra

Kirkintilloch bands to pay tribute to the best Tennant's extra in Scotland.

Kirkintilloch

Members of the Kirkintilloch and Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass bands, friends and family, will gather on Friday 31st October at The Ibrox Suite, Glasgow to pay tribute to the work and dedication of Willie Tennant.

Lifetime

Willie has spent a lifetime in brass bands in Scotland and in particular to the teaching and training of young players over the past 60 plus years for the Kirkintilloch organisation.

Many have now gone on to play with other bands, progressed to teaching and made a career for themselves, including his two sons Ronnie and Raymond of Band Supplies.

On the 31st October everyone involved wants him to relax along with his wife Margaret as we thank them for there dedicationPeter Fraser

Dedication

Kirkintilloch Secretary Peter Fraser told 4BR: "Willie has been a loyal member of the Kirkie team for all of that time and has served as a player, administrator, and teacher. On the 31st October everyone involved wants him to relax along with his wife Margaret as we thank them for there dedication."
