Brass workshop to be hosted by Open champions Fodens and Glyn Williams Musicl Istruemtns in North Wales.

Sponsored by Glyn Williams Musical Instruments, members of the Fodens Band are to host a Brass band Workshop at Ysgol Y Gader, Dolgellau, Gwynedd, Wales on Saturday 18th October 2008.

World class tutors

Attendees at the workshop will not only have the chance to be tutored by some of the talented members of Fodens lead by Glyn Williams who himself hails from the local area, but will also have the opportunity to join forces on stage with the full Fodens Band at an evening concert also to be held at the school.

Free of charge

The afternoon workshop is free of charge to all evening concert ticket holders (£10 for adults and £5 for under 16’s).

Commence

The Workshop will commence promptly at 2pm and conclude at 5pm on Saturday afternoon 18th October. Light refreshments will be provided. Bring your own music stand. The concert will begin at 7.30pm.

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
