Childs to climax Stanhope Festival

Euphonium star David Childs to head Stanhope Festival.

The Stanhope Band from County Durham are busy preparing for their 4th Annual Festival of Brass.

Festival

The three concert Festival commences on Saturday October 25th when the Peebles Burgh Silver Band join Stanhope Silver Band for a shared concert performing "Music from Around the World", which will culminate in a massed band finale.

On November 6th "We're Brass", a new quintet formed by band members will make their debut performance in a concert shared with the highly popular local dance troop the Weardale Tappers.

Climax

The Festival reaches a grand climax on November 29th when Euphonium virtuoso David Childs will be the bands special guest soloist.
