Camborne hand out the gongs

Camborne had a great night (and year) to remember recently — and handed out their own gongs too.

Camborne

Camborne Town Band enjoyed its annual dinner and dance recently, where the band looked back on its achievements of 2008 and also handed out its aannual awards.

Years of service

There was a bouquet of flowers to Angela Netherton for her excellent work as the band's secretary, whilst two of the band's youngest members, Jess Tredrea and Jeremy Taylor, were presented awards for their 10 years of service to the Camborne Town Band Music Society.

Jess and Jeremy have been playing with the Youth Band since 1999, when they first started lessons with Alan Pope, and were both promoted to the Senior Band in 2005.
