Philip Hunt's popular programme hits the top 10 on the BBC IPlayer Top Ten.

Phillip Hunt’s weekly hour long 'Sounds of Brass' radio programme, which is broadcast on nine BBC Local Radio Stations throughout the West of England, has entered the BBC IPlayer Top Ten.

Loyal following

Produced and presented by Phillip since 1985 the programme has built up a loyal weekly following.

Now, since having been made available on the Internet, on a 'Listen Live' or 'Listen Again' basis, thousands more extra listeners are hearing it around the Country and across the World each week.

Top Ten

So many in fact that Sounds of Brass reached the Top Ten in January of the most accessed programmes broadcast across the entire BBC Local Radio Network of thirty eight Stations.

November 27 • 4th section national finalists Wantage Academy are looking for a Bb bass and 2nd cornet to complete their team. A friendly, welcoming band who rehearse Wed 7-8:30pm and Sat 10am-12 under MD Gavin Clemons.


Summerbridge & Dacre Silver Band

November 25 • 2nd or 3rd cornet required to boost our back row. We are a non contesting band, but carry out numerous events across North Yorkshire. We will be doing a joint concert with Carlton Main next year.
