The current British Open Champions Foden's have announced the appointment of Mike Fowles as their new 'Associate Conductor'

Speaking to 4BR, Mark Wilkinson said: "Foden's are extremely pleased to have secured the services of Mike Fowles. Mike has worked with the band on a number of occasions where we have been extremely impressed by his professionalism, organisation skills and work rate.

Mark added: "Over the past couple of years Fodens have used a number of different conductors for rehearsals and concerts but wished to have more stability from the middle and Mike is the ideal person for this."

Speaking about his appointment Mike told 4BR: "I am delighted to have reached an agreement to become Associate Conductor with this fine band.
