The Amington Band were very pleased with the result in the Open Quartet contest held at Groby last Sunday after they took top honours at their first attempt.

Creditable

The band also entered players in a number of the other sections gaining creditable positions in the Open Slow Melody and Junior Slow Melody.

Success

There was also success for baritone player Ian Perks whose pupils William & Grace Davies played very well. William gained 3rd prize out of 24 in Junior Slow Melody and Grace came came 5th out of 30 players in section B.
