Myers wins in Oz

Bruce Myers has won the 2009 Australian Champion of Champions at the National Championships currently being held in Sydney.

It was a very accurate and musical performance, with a rich quality of sound which easily convinced the adjudicators James Curnow and Andrew Snell to award the prize to the tenor horn player.

Tenor Trombone champion Colin Pritchard from Waratah Brass — Newcastle was announced runner-up.

A phenominal performance by Jonathon Ramsay on Euphonium convincingly won the Junior Champion of Champions. Professor David King and Warrick Tyrell were the adjudicators.
