Youthful launch at Christchurch & Highcliffe

As part of their centenary celebrations the Christchurch & Highcliffe Band are launching a training band.

 

As part of its centenary celebrations the Christchurch & Highcliffe Band will be launching a Training Band in May.

Next generation

The launch of a Training Band aims to teach and encourage the next generation to keep the the banding tradition going in the area.

President, Jilly Hills told 4BR: "It is a pleasure to be President of such a long running band and a thrill to see the new training band coming to fruition." David Hills added: "The launch of the Training Band will be memorable as it is the last event in our centenary year."

Launch

The Training Band will be launched on Tuesday, 12 May at The Rainbow Pre-School, 254 Lymington Road, Highcliffe at 6.30 pm. Further details are to be found on the 4BR Classified area.

Brighouse meeting

Members of the Training Band will have a unique opportunity to meet the Brighouse & Rastrick Band at the Masterclass at Highcliffe Comprehensive School on Sunday morning 14 June. Depending on their musical ability they will be invited to join in the class or just come and listen.
