Composer and conductor Simon Dobson will be working with the Elite Division contenders Oslofjord Brass over the next few months, as he prepares the band for the 2010 Norwegian Nationals in Bergen erly next year.

Debut

Simon told 4BR: "I'll be going out first in September for a concert and then again in November for the Siddis Contest. Next year I'll be conducting the band at the Norwegian Nationals in February, meaning I'll be conducting in the Elite Division for the first time."

It is an occassion the talented Cornishman is looking forward to, especially as it will lead onto further events.

"I'm going on then to do the Olso Championships and the Grenland Festival next April. I am really looking to this challange and to working with the band again.
