The Queensland State Championships were held in Maryborough, 6-8 June 2009.

QLD Band Association
 

Brisbane Excelsior once again showed its dominance by winning the A Grade State Championship in a clean sweep and by a margin of 18 points from second placed band, Capricornia Silver.
