The final chord approaches for the A4 Brass Quartet Composition competition

There is still just enough time to get your entries in for the A4 Brass Quartet 'Brass Quartet Composition' competition.

Entries have already been received from around the world, so those interested in composing for the critically acclaimed ensemble have until Friday 23rd February to get in their works that can be of any style of between 4 — 8 minutes in duration.

Prizes on offer

The winner will take away £350 with further prizes for the runner-up and the best submission from a composer under 24 years of age. All the prize winning works will be recorded professionally by the group.

The competition has already created a great deal of interest with entries from around the banding world — all hoping to have their work featured regularly be the group in their many concert and recording appearances including their recent recital link with the BBC Radio 3 flagship arts programme 'In Tune'.

The winning entries will be used as part of the group's forthcoming concert performances in the UK and Europe, featuring tours to Scotland, Lithuania and Switzerland over the next year.
