Trustee Indemnity for brass bands

It is important that your band knows about trustee indemnity...

UK Special Ricks
Trustee Indemnity is an important aspect of brass band management that needs to be fully understood.

Are you covered for Trustee Indemnity?

If you're not, your personal assets and that of all committee members could be at risk.

You can be held personally liable for decisions, actions and omissions made when making arrangements and entering into contracts on behalf of the band.

Liable

You can also be held personally liable for compensation awarded to a third party following wrongful actions of band members such as personal injury caused to a member of the public, band practice or events causing a nuisance to a neighbour, or a breach in contract.

Trustee members may also become the target of creditors for any band debts.

It is also not a defence if your name and signature is not on the contact; if the committee has authorised the contract, every single member can be held equally liable.

Exclusive scheme

At UK Special Risks, we have an exclusive Brass Band scheme with Ecclesiastical Insurance and have over 15 years' combined experience insuring the UK's most prestigious Brass Bands.

Our scheme provides up to £250,000 cover for Trustee Indemnity, which can respond to claims which hold a trustee or committee member personally liable for damages along with other relevant costs and expenses
