Caravan Band looking to get hitched up...

What could possibly be better than combining music making with the life on the open road...

Caravan
  Have jackets will travel...

If you have the passion for both music making and for the mobile side of life, then the unique organisation that is the Caravan & Motorhome Club Concert Band could well offer you the perfect way to enjoy your playing.

Formed in 1993 when a group of musicians just happened to bump into each other (although thankfully, not literally) at a National rally, they have since gone on to enjoy performing all over the UK and Europe and currently comprise members from 45 different groups — including 12 brass bands.

On the road

One of them is Goldy Solutions photographer and Band Chairman, Ian Clowes, who has enjoyed playing with the band for many years and is keen to keep the organisation on the road so to speak…

"It's a great way to combine both our love of music making and travel. As you would expect the club is so well organised and has a five year plan to provide concerts, holiday rallies and participation in at least one overseas festival plus the recording of their third CD.

There are no auditions are needed; it's a band where you can get three generations of players alongside each other."

Great times

He added: "We've enjoyed plenty of great times and would love to be able to team up with even more people. It's fantastic fun and you can have a drink as you don't have to drive home either…"
