Format

The format of the contest is a traditional road march along the pedestrianised Queen Street before bands reassemble in the band arena outside the Town Hall and complete its programme with three verses of a hymn tune and a contest march. Two adjudicators will judge music played in the band arena.

In the event of inclement weather the contest will be held in the Alexander Hall in the Morley Town Hall, minus the marching element of course.

Geoff Fowler told 4BR: "The contest has established itself as a prestigious event in Morley and we have the full support of the Mayor, the Morley Town Council and the Morley Entertainments Committee."
