New recruits at Uppermill

The Uppermill Band will be boosted by a host of new signings for the 2012 season.

There have been a number of changes in personnel at the Uppermill Band as they started preparing fro the Regional Championships in March.

New recruits

New recruits include Andrew Eastwood and Mark Sillence on trombone, Maria Honess on horn and Kevin McGowen on Bb tuba.

Meanwhile, the cornet section is boosted by the signing of Matthew Murray, Joanna Hall, Natalie Wolstenhulme, Kate Woodward and Bethany Moore, whilst Jim Owen come in on euphonium.

We look forward to a new chapter at Uppermill and to continued success under our MD Alan WiddopBand Chairman, John Ward

Band Chairman John Ward told 4BR: "Uppermill Band has enjoyed a very successful 7 year period with minimal changes but due to work and study commitments and we have had some changes. I would take like to thank all these players who have played their part in our success and welcome the new players to the ranks.

We look forward to a new chapter at Uppermill and to continued success under our MD Alan Widdop."
