The Huddersfield & Ripponden Band has announced that the highly respected conductor, David W Ashworth, will be crossing the banding borders from the Red of Lancashire to the White of Yorkshire to lead the band at the Yorkshire Regional Championships at Bradford in two weeks time.

Band Manager Alan Jazwinski told 4BR: "David has a wealth of experience and I am sure that he will do his best to make us proud."

The band acted quickly to contact Dave following the news that their former MD could not take the band to the contest.
