Scottish First Section champion makes presentations to outstanding players.

Granite City Awards
 

The current Scottish First Section champion Granite City Brass, recently recognised the outstanding dedication and commitment of a number of playing members with the presentation of their annual awards.

Community winners

The Community Band voted for Lorna Noble to receive the ‘Bandsperson of the Year’ trophy, with conductors Lewis Catto and Tom Horne deciding on tenor horn player Jude McGowan to receive the ‘Musician of the Year’ award.

Senior winners

Meanwhile, the senior band members voted for Band Secretary Martin Neale to receive their ‘Bandsperson of the Year’ trophy, with Musical Director Bruce Wallace's choice as ‘Musician of the Year’ going to soprano cornet player Alan Haggart.
