Rose and Wileman fill roles at Cornerstone

Cornerstone Brass welcome a Rose and a Wileman to the ranks ahead of their Bradford Area appearance.

Cornerstone Brass

Cornerstone Brass has welcomed solo horn signing Susan Rose to the band.

Horn Rose

Susan was for 27 years a member of the Hatfield Colliery Band, starting with them in the Third Section, before recently enjoying spells at Yorkshire Imps and more latterly, Dodworth.

Susan is also joined in the ranks by Christopher Wileman, who re-joins Cornerstone on solo cornet after a brief period away from banding.

Welcome

MD, Damien Wileman told 4BR: “We’re delighted to welcome Susan and Christopher to the band. I’ve been aware of Susan as a player for some time having heard her with numerous bands around the Yorkshire Area and of course seeing her in full flow with the fabulous Boobs & Brass.”

Natural

He added: “Christopher is a very natural player with a lovely cornet sound and technique. We are delighted that he has agreed to come back to us but even more delighted that Sheffield Wednesday FC is not at home that day, allowing Chris to be with us in Bradford!”
