New MD for Florida

Chad Shoopman has taken over the reins at Brass Band of Central Florida.

Brass Band of Central Florida (BBCF) has announced that Chad Shoopman has accepted the position of Music Director

Avid

Chad is an avid conductor and trumpet player in demand all over the world. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, he works primarily for the Walt Disney World Corporation in Orlando, Florida.

He performs extensively as lead trumpet and conductor for a wide variety of musical endeavors including Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band.

Demand

Chad is also in demand as an educator, clinician, and adjudicator.

His effort and commitment to music education in these roles has brought him recognition and acclaim throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, and Germany. As a clinician for Disney’s Magic Music Days, Mr.Shoopman works with over 80 high school and college bands and orchestras from all over the world every year.

He performs extensively as lead trumpet and conductor for a wide variety of musical endeavors including Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band4BR

Extreme Measures

As a studio musician, Chad has recorded numerous projects for Disney World, Tokyo Disney, television, radio, and feature films including Danny Elfman’s score to the motion picture 'Extreme Measures'.

Chad received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (’96) and a Master’s deg ree in Conducting Performance (’99) from the University of Arizona. He currently resides in Windermere, Florida with his wife Susan and daughter Sophia Camille.
