Half century for Alder Valley Brass

Alder Valley will be celebrating their 50th anniversay later this year.

2011 will be a milestone year for Alder Valley Brass (formally the Aldershot Brass Ensemble), as they celebrate their 50th anniversary.

The band has come a long way from very humble beginnings. Rehearsals were first held in their founder's front room, but now take place in a dedicated rehearsal venue in Badshot Lea.

As part of the celebrations, the band is trying to contact ex members in the hope of seeing them during 2011. Anyone interested should contact contact Brain Balls ().

The band would also especially appreciate stories and photographs from ex members for inclusion in a souvenir brochure of their long history.

A number of events are planned during 2011 including a tour to Switzerland in January, recording a brand new CD and hosting a gala concert.
